Media Portal will find similarly looking channels on you other tuners (FreeSat in this case) and display them on the right hand side. Once you are happy that channels are the same, select matching channel on the right hand side and click Combine button.

Go to TV Channels > TV Combinations and select your FreeView Tuner (DVB-T).

When recording a program from a combined channel, Media Portal will select tuner that has higher priority (setup in Step 2). In my case I use both FreeSat and FreeView so it makes sense to combine the same channels into to one. If you use only one type of tuner, you can skip this step.

Configure FreeSat tuner as in the screenshot below.

Leave Create 'Digital Terrestrial' group checked.

Configuration for FreeView is simple - just select your Country and Region.

In my case I did this once for FreeView (DVB-T) and once for FreeSat (DVB-S). Your only need to do it once for a single tuner of each type.

Click on each active tuner name (below HTPC name) and Scan for channels.If you are not sure which tuner is which, first complete the next step (scanning for channels) then come back and complete priority sorting. In my case, I left following tuners active: Sort all your active TV tuners in priority order using Up and Down buttons.

To filter the view by the group you setup earlier, right click on the screen then on the menu that comes up select 'Groups' then select the group that you setup earlier from the list.

To view the guide go into MediaPortal itself, select 'My TV', then select 'TV Guide'.

Click 'OK' to exit the TV-Server Configuration program.

Click on the 'Import' button, this will load the guide information.

Once the mapping is complete, click on the 'Save' button.

Under 'Plugins' tick the box for 'XmlTv'.

If you want to change the order this can be done by selecting the channel and pressing the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons of the bottom of the screen.

For each channel you want to see in the guide, select it and press the double right arrow button between the boxes.

Under 'TV Channels' click on 'TV Mapping', select the group name that you just created from the 'Group Name:' list.

Click on 'TV Channels' and on the 'Channels' tab click the 'Add' button then enter a name for the group.
